WHO IS CHRIS?

simply put, I'M A SHEFFIELD BASED WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER FOR Those that want a NON TRADITIONAL & TRULY unique wedding.

When I'm not planning, photographing or editing your wedding galleries, you'll find me with my family.

Our little boy Rupert was born in August of 2023, amidst a very busy wedding season and a house completion and move. (We moved house, decorated and welcomed our boy all within 13 days - Never again! It was the craziest time of my life!)

Myself and my girlfriend Paris enjoy the odd cheeky Chinese takeaway, typically on my way home from a wedding.

We also love to go away on a British staycation.

In the last couple of years we have done little explorations to Scotland, Wales and Cornwall. We love hearing recommendations so if you have anywhere in mind, let me know!

If I'm not with my family or working on a wedding gallery, I'll typically be working in my garden, drinking coffee, reading and watching documentaries.

We have a little gecko named Blizzard, who by no fault of his own is a terrible lizard, that boy has the worst aim you have ever seen and food time is a challenge.

I'm also a plant dad, I am in one word OBSESSED with plants. Maybe one day, I'll learn how to keep them alive - we hope.

WHY WEDDINGS?

WELL. IF IM BEING HONEST, WEDDINGS WERE NEVER REALLY MY THING...

So yeah, when I first started being a photographer everyone used to ask me if I wanted to do weddings. My response was always the same:

'Weddings are those big boring events, with formal photos, old fashion traditions and bad dance moves. Not a chance.'

My good friend had this full wedding planned. Big party, lots of guests, but that all changed when Covid did its thing and ruined everyone's wedding plans. Instead they got their few close friends and family together, hit up our local registry office then went and had some fun. This couple are amazing, they have edgy vibes, an alternative approach, and did things their own way.

After the ceremony we hit up their local in Kelham Island, Sheffield.

We had the entire venue to ourselves for an hour, and with drinks in hand we made the most of the space, making memories that reflect them as a couple. Not a traditional wedding photo in sight.

That was it. I was hooked. I already has an established commercial photography business, but alternative, unique weddings were my new thing.

If you want the full story, I've wrote a blog all about

SO WHAT'S MY APPROACH?

MY STYLE IS FOR those who want to plan their wedding their way!

I work best with care free, fun couples who want to have a good time. You might be uncomfortable in front of the camera, and that's totally cool, I am too!

My approach is all about movement, no awkward posing. I'll get you spinning, jumping, laughing, spraying champagne, and letting off smoke bombs.

Anything other than standing and looking awkwardly at the camera!

If you like my approach, check out my availability and lets have a chat!

Or you could check out some more of my work?
