That's right, our AI overlords have made zero contributions to this site, this is my creation, so please bear this in mind when you see a spelling mistake or a section of the website I've clearly got side tracked and never finished. These are little signs of the handmade nature of my work.

WHO IS CHIRS?
Simply put, I'm a 30 year old dad of two amazing children, who loves to take photos.
I live in the edge of Rotherham South Yorkshire, in one busy old house. There's me, Chris (He/him), my girlfriend Paris (She/her) and our two wonderful little people, Rupert (3 years old) and Ophelia (1 year old).
Honestly, I'd love to write about all the hobbies and exciting things we get up to in life, but first and foremost I'm a dad. I spend most of my free time with the children, and the majority of my working time taking care of the business.
When I do get some spare time, I like to get out for a run and try and get to the gym a couple times a week. I love a gripping book and a good coffee.
Other than that our days are a mix of nursery rhymes, kids TV shows, editing photos and spending time together. Honestly I wouldn't want it any other way. I'll pick up cooler hobbies when they're older.
HOW DID WE GET HERE?
I'll be completely honest, weddings were never truly the goal. When I first started my photography hobbies, everyone used to suggest I do weddings, but I'd only been to one wedding and it was your standard church wedding followed by a working men's club reception. Safe to say I was completely unaware that people actually had fun exciting weddings, I had a lot to learn.
I left my career in banking to become a full time product photographer back in the middle of 2021. As it goes, the week I officially left the bank, I lost a contract with my biggest client and my income plummeted.
Coincidentally, I had recently photographed my friends micro 10 person covid wedding, and I absolutely LOVED it. These guys were cool, seriously cool, the venue was iconic and it truly opened my eyes to the fact weddings might not always be a boring affair.
I was hooked, from that day I was all in on weddings and slowly built the business you see in front of you now. It's been a journey but I've loved the whole experience!

GIVING BACK
Last year myself and Paris gave away 22 different Christmas gifts to those less fortunate than ourselves. One to represent each of the weddings I was lucky enough to photograph that year.
This was done via Dunelm's Christmas gift exchange, in store there is a Christmas tree with various tags all requesting different gifts for someone who might go without at Christmas time.
We purchased the requested items and dropped them off at Dunelm to be distributed to those people in the community.
This will be a yearly tradition moving forwards, I have set aside 2% of each of my invoices this year to use to donate again this Christmas to various causes.
I'm not 100% sure on the plan for this year, but I'm hoping it will be bigger and better than the year before.
30 WEDDINGS A YEAR
To ensure each of my couples get the best of me, I limit the number of weddings I take on each year. Once I reach that number, the diary is closed.
I don't use an editor, and I don't just fire the photos through AI and call it a day, I sit down and take my time to carefully curate your gallery ensuring I hand edit each image to my liking. This takes time. a really long time...
So 30 is where we draw the line.

WHAT'S THE APPROACH?
Let's face it, weddings are busy, super busy at times, and that's where the magic happens, those little moments, the interactions, the jokes. It all happens because you have lots of people in one space all having a good time. And that's where I thrive.
CANDID MOMENTS
I would say a good 90% of my time on your wedding day is spent capturing the candid moments, I'm looking for emotions, people having a good time and trying to capture that from a bit of a distance. I'm also looking for anything that doesn't go to plan, beer getting spilt, someone trips over, kid's causing chaos, and I'm all over that as well. My goal it so tell the full story of your day, all the good, all the bad and all the sh*t in the middle that truly makes up the story of your day.
We're not in the business of making everything Instagram perfect, these are real photos of real moments full of real emotions.
PLANNED CHAOS
While I’m all about those natural, unscripted moments, there are three times during the day when we’ll plan a little time to grab some pics.
FAMILY PHOTOS
We all know how these work, get your closest family members, we'll line you up and get a nice pic. It's honestly as simple as that. To keep it stress free, we will keep them short and sweet, 6-8 groups is more than enough. Keep it to your immediate family, closest friends and your wedding party. We'll jazz it up a bit, but this is really the only time during the day I'll be asking you to smile at the camera.
COUPLES SESSION
This is where the fun stuff happens, forget everything you know about having your photo taken. For me, this is a super relaxed session, no staring at my camera, no stiff controlled poses.
It's all about cool backdrops, movement, interaction and a whole heap of silliness. I want your personalities to shine through, no pressure, just fun simple prompts to get you both having a laugh and I'll get some killer natural photos of the two of you.
CREATIVE GROUP SHOTS
This session has to be my favourite! Grab your "I do crew", your closest mates, your entourage, what ever you want to call them. Just your favourite bunch of people. I'll put some music on my speaker and for the next 10 minutes you're all just gonna have a laugh, I've got loads of fun prompts I can dish out to get you all interacting and having fun. But the goal is to get some photos of your chosen family, without any of the formalities, just genuine photos of your favourite people all having a laugh.

I've been called lots of things over the years, a wedding wingman, unofficial bridesmaid, chaos coordinator, photo man. Lots of different things. The point being I'm all in on your day, I'm there for all of it. To capture the joy and energy, bring the energy when needed, and to be the calm voice you need through the chaos.
